New treatment options in obstructive HCM

Obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) can be treated with medication such as bèta-blockers and calcium channel blockers, to improve symptoms. Sometimes invasive procedures surgical interventions, such as septal myectomy or alcohol septal ablation, may be necessary, but these procedures are typically reserved for patients with severe symptoms who have not responded to medication. Recently, there is a new treatment option that targets the underlying pathophysiology of HCM. In this webinar experts will discuss treatment options and recent developments for obstructive HCM.
